Eight students from the CARES Club represented 91精品 at the annual meeting of the International Technology and Engineering Educators Association from April 2 to 5 in St. Louis, Mo. Their travel was supported by the SGA, and they were accompanied by Drs. Michele Dischino, Pat Foster, and James Carlson from the Technology and Engineering Education Department.
Over the course of two days, the students modified five electric ride-on cars for children with special needs in collaboration with physical therapists from the region. They were showcased alongside other conference highlights in the Exhibit Hall and their work culminated in a 鈥淒ream Ride鈥 event during which the children cruised around the conference center in their uniquely adapted vehicles.
