Placement Exams:

Watch your email for information on this

Math Placement: Take if no credit for MATH 101 or higher

Writing Placement: Take if no credit for WRT 105 or 110

World Language Requirement Options:

  • Fluency or First Language other than English
  • 3 Years of Foreign Language taken in High School: Make sure Registrar has your high school transcript to waive this requirement.*

  • 1-2 Years of Foreign Language taken in High School: Take Placement Exam.
    Contact: The Learning Center,
  • No previous learning of a foreign language: Take 111- and 112-level language courses (Spanish or ASL are generally taken by BSTM students).
    *Note that if this requirement is waived, a 3-credit General Education Elective must be taken.

Your advisor will assist with placement of transfer courses and selection of courses to be taken.
