President Toro sat in with CSCU Chancellor Terrence Cheng on the latest episode of the CSCU podcast “Office Hours.” During the episode, President Toro shares how her background in engineering and research has shaped her view of the value of higher education; what inspired her to have a career in higher education; the initiatives she hopes to continue in the legacy of 91Ʒ; and the experience students will receive when they go to 91Ʒ.
Throughout her career, President Toro has paved the way for female higher education leaders, previously serving as the dean of the College of Engineering at Wichita State University from 2005 to 2013, and now, as the first woman and Hispanic chief executive to lead 91Ʒ as president.
